    -Annotate 5 contributions to civilization using text boxes to summarize highlighted info
    -Answer Guided Questions to move forward in text.
    -Answer Assessment Questions 1-5 making sure to use RACE writing strategy to answer #5.
3. Hidden Colors Film: What contributions to civilization from Africa were we not exposed to in school?
HW: Finish CommonLit (Egypt) & Zinc Test.

2. Film Studies: Watch and take notes on contributions of people of color throughout history.
3. Writer's Workshop: Score paragraphs for RACE strategy.
4. Revision: After the teacher has unsubmitted your CommonLit you need to go back and rewrite just the short response paragraph for question #5.
HW: #5 Paragraph (CommonLit), Finish Zinc Test (last day Wednesday).

1. ELA SKI  (Student Knowledge Inventory) Assessment: Students will begin test in class and finish on their own. Students that log out before finishing test will not be able to come back to finish test without contacting teacher to enable testing again so DO NOT LOG OUT UNTIL DONE!
-STEP#1: Login to the CTLS Assess from ctls.cobbk12.org and select "Assessment".
-STEP#2: Complete entire test without logging out or taking breaks as that will kick you out of test.
HW: Finish SKI test.

-STEP# 3: Next, choose the types of books you enjoy
-STEP# 4: Select "Continue" and begin testing
HW: Finish SRI test.
