1. CommonLit: INTRODUCTION TO DYSTOPIAN FICTION
    -Highlight and annotate each paragraph for themes of dsytopian literature.
    -Answer multiple choice and short written responses (2)

    -Write down examples of dystopian themes
HW: Finish opening scene to your dystopian story. 

TUESDAY

2. Score/Revise CommonLit paragraphs.
3. 2 Minute Hate in 1984 vs. US 2020
HW: Revise CommonLit (2pt section of class notebook). Write a paragraph explaining the societal issue being exposed in your dystopian story (4 pt section of class notebook).

WEDNESDAY

THURSDAY
1. W-up
     -Write down at least fifteen details that show how unpleasant life is in the Party’s London (Ch.1)
4. Brainstorm: List societal issues that we could magnify through a dystopian short story. 
HW: Have a rough draft of your opening scene in class notebook (4-pt writing sec.)

NO ZOOM TODAY. INDEPENDENT WORK. 
1. Finish movie and opening scene of your dystopian.
